The nurse was very friendly and explained what the treatment would hope to achieve and what it maybe wouldn’t. She examined me and told me what my problems were and how many treatments I would need. The treatment itself whilst not pain free was tolerable but worth it. I was happy with the results but need more visits.. I’m very happy with the treatment and the results so far however I do need to go back for 2 more visits, I feel that this treatment has only helped a bit.

I had been recommended by a friend to the Womens Health Clinic as I was suffering with really embarrassing leakage. My consultant Linda Fry put my mind at ease straight away and I soon realised that something could easily be done to help me. I had the laser treatment and can honestly say it has been brilliant, my leakage has improved no end and is now virtually non existent. The procedure itself was so easy and I did not feel a thing. Linda was amazing and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I would certainly recommend this laser treatment, it has definitely improved my quality of life and confidence.. very friendly and accommodating, considering i was travelling from cape town and could only make certain days for appts.. would be a five if i felt like .a 23 yr old again !!

Very good service. Nurses very professional and knowledgeable. Definite improvement in symptoms of incontinence, able to sneeze with no problem. My last treatment was 5 months ago ( third treatment) but I feel my symptoms are starting to deteriorate. I am now considering further treatment.. Definite improvement in incontinence symptoms. Initially after treatment able to sneeze without incontinence and no leakage during sex, however, after 5 months, I feel that symptoms are deteriorating. Currently considering further treatment.

Every thing was very good from start to finish .. Good result hoping to improve on the second treatment.

I really liked my nurse, she was very clear and put me at ease. The facility is very clean and professional and very easy to get to from Canary Wharf station.. So I was honestly desperate for this treatment to be the miracle cure to my post-natal stress incontinence, but after 2 treatments it still hasn’t quite happened for me.

I do believe the treatment has had some effect and I have noticed an improvement in day to day activities, but I still don’t leave the house without wearing a pad and still cannot jump or run without significant leaks.

So this treatment is now used in addition to a 2 part plan I’m doing each day. For anyone reading this and considering treatment I’ll detail what else I’m doing. Since very early after my forceps delivery I have been using a kegel8 ultra 20 electrical pelvic floor trainer. I do this once a day, (twice if I have time). It cost £150 and has undoubtedly made a significant difference since I started using it.

For part 2, google “Sharny and Julius, strong core and pelvic floor”. This is a daily pelvic floor exercise program which guarantees results and has thousands of women that have achieved them. This costs £30.

So would I have the laser treatment again? I think I would. It has given me back a lot more sensation and I have made progress along with the other exercises I’m doing.

My ‘Average’ rating comes from the fact that for the price of the treatment, I expected to no longer be using pads at all. I’m hopeful that my 3rd treatment will bring further improvement, but I do fear it isn’t a miracle cure and that I may still be buying pads Рparticularly when running.

I’m also mindful of the fact that any results that are achieved aren’t permanent, so no matter what you’re going to have to be doing a pelvic floor training program unless you want to be paying for further treatment every 18 months.

Go in with your eyes open ladies and make sure you find yourself some exercises regardless of how hopeful you are.

When came for my third procedure and said I didn’t see any imrovement after the second one, the nurse said she would put the settings up from 1 to 2. It was a big disappointment to have the lowest setting during the first two visits. Overall I’m still left with a problem even after third visit.
